Welcome to the Utah Labrador Retriever Club and Rescue

Pet of the Week

Utah Lab Rescue is Utah's only Labrador Retriever Club and Rescue. We are located in Salt Lake County. We serve all of Utah, and surrounding States. The rescue is an "all volunteer" run program, and is ran by dedicated volunteers, and foster homes. Our goal is to educate, lower the rate of breeding in our state, increase the number of adoptions, and lower the extremely high percentage of purebred Labradors being euthanized in our local shelters each week. We adopt out purebred Labradors, Lab mixes, and other large sport breed dogs, such as Pointers, Spaniels, and Retrievers.

We are a local organization, and hold Adoption Events locally. If you're interested in any of our available Labs, please visit us at one of our adoption events, or fill out our online application to set up an appointment during the week. If you're interested in fostering any of our shelter dogs, please fill out our foster home application. Thanks.

Utah Lab Rescue is a non-profit organization. All donations are fully tax-deductible

Rescue News

July 2009: Happy 4th & 24th of July! With both these fun holiday's this month, Please keep in mind your pets. Most dogs & cats are extremely nervous around fireworks. Please keep in mind during the periods where fireworks are allowed to have your pets secured, indoors is preferred. The shelters in the state are over whelmed with lost pets during this time. If you have lost your dog or cat, please visit your area shelters ASAP. Shelters get so overwhelmed that they run out of space fast during these periods, which results in many animals being put down. Keep in mind to check all shelters in your area, dogs and cats can run extremely far. We hope you have a very fun, and exciting July.

With the weather starting to warm up, and the rain starting to clear out. Please make sure that all outside pets have enough shade all day long, and plenty of fresh cool water. With the hotter temps coming just around the corner, it's best to bring your pets inside during the hottest times during the day.

The rescue just started a forum and blog off our main Utah Lab Rescue website. Please feel free to visit and join if you would like.
