We are starting a new campaign for the lovable senior Labs, 'No Labrador Left Behind!'. Nothing breaks our hearts more than seeing a sweet senior Lab die in a shelter. Either an owner didn't care to look for them, forgot about them, or traded them in for new puppy. It hurts to look into their forgiving eyes and know that after years of loving and loyalty to an owner, they have been left to spend their last days in a dark and scary shelter.
We hope to end this for all senior Labradors with the Peykos Memorial Fund. This fund has been set up in honor of our beloved Peykos (he too was a discarded senior) to provide a way out of the shelters for all senior Labs in our State. No Lab deserves to spend his last days alone and scared, and then put to death all because of old age. But we need your help. Seniors need medical care, special diets, medication, and most importantly loving homes for their last days, months or years. No matter how long they have left, they all deserve to be pampered in the end.
If you would like to donate any supplies, food, space, or make a monetary donation, please contact info@utahlabrescue.com. Donations can be made in honor of your own sweet senior who is still with you, or has passed on to the Rainbow Bridge. All donations made specifically to the Peykos Memorial Fund will be used soley for the rescue of senior Labradors from the City shelters, and their care.
Want to adopt or foster a senior rescued by this program? All medical needs will be met, and foster homes will be provided with supplies needed as well.
